Forensic Statistics
How do you link a criminal to a crime scene?
Take a tiny piece of glass no bigger than a grain of salt from a suspect's clothing, scientifically match it to glass from a crime scene using statistical interpretation and you've got a criminal case based on forensic statistics.
Using questions such as: "How well does glass recovered from the suspect match glass from the crime scene?" and "How common is it to find window glass on someone disassociated with crime?" the jury can scientifically weigh up the evidence. All thanks to a tiny piece of glass.
