OZCOTS 2010 is building on the success of the timing and format of OZCOTS 2008 as a satellite to the Australian Statistics Conference (ASC) with an overlap on Thursday 9th December. Details of ASC 2010 can be obtained at http://www.promaco.com.au/2010/asc OZCOTS 2010 is of interest to all involved in the teaching and learning of statistics, whether in universities, colleges, schools, industries and governments. Key note speakers are Chris Wild and Delia North. Contributed papers cover topics in preparing graduates across disciplines, learning strategies in statistics, technology and statistics learning, introductory and transition matters, and evaluating learning. Forums on the opportunities and challenges in statistics curricula, and national and international networking are also planned. |

Its objective is to gather during three days teachers and researchers of the following disciplines: statistics obviously, but also mathematics, education sciences, engineering of knowledge, didactic of statistics and data processing. We should also not forget about the different disciplines that are using statistical tools, in the field of exact sciences as well as in that of social or health sciences, nor the companies which have to ensure the training of their staff on the statistical techniques. This conference aims to be a meeting and an exchange place for the actors in charge of the training of both young and adult people, and this to any level: obligatory and higher education, but also the continuing education. |

develop and implement excellent solutions, as well as engaging and thought-provoking applications of statistics. This seminar will be of high interest to them because those technologies, their successes and limitations in conveying stories behind data will be showcased in an intensive two days of brainstorming.
