Biography

I did my Bachelor degree here at the University of Auckland in Finance, Mathematics and Statistics from 2013 to 2016. I obtained my Honours degree in Statistics with Fist Class Honours in University of Auckland in 2017. Currently I am doing researches on non-parametric density estimation with Dr. Yong Wang.

Non-parametric Density Estimation and Visualisation for Circular Data (Honours Dissertation)

We apply the non-parametric mixture modelling technique to circular data based on the fast algorithm CNM. The component distributions are chosen among the four parametric ciircular distributions: the von Mises, the Watson, the wrapped normal and the wrapped Cauchy distribution. We also develop new visulisation tools for circular data in two dimensions.
