The climate temperature data as an R binary data file (use load() to create variables 'x', 'y', and 'z'). This data is obtained as an ensemble average of simulations of the climate of the 20th Century (20C3M) experiments from a set of 15 Global Climate Models, developed and run by international modelling centers worldwide. The data is part of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project, phase 3, ensemble and is available for download from the portal http://www-pcmdi.llnl.gov/ipcc/about_ipcc.php.
