Proceedings of
IASE/ISI Round Table Conferences
There have been ten
Round Table Conferences since 1968. These are small meetings (usually 50
attendees or less) devoted to a special topic within statistics
education. Since 1984, these Round Table Conferences have been held
directly before or directly after ICME (International Congresses on
Mathematics Education).
The most recent three Round
Table organized by IASE were:
28 June to 3 July 2004 in Lund, Sweden on
Curricular Development in Statistics Education (An electronic copy
of the Proceedings will be available in a few months on the IASE main
website)
7 to 11 August 2000--Tokyo, Japan on Training Researchers in the Use of
Statistics (An electronic copy of these Proceedings is available at
http://www.stat.auckland.ac.nz/~iase/publications.php?show=9)
23 to 27 July 1996--Granada, Spain on Research on
the Role of Technology in Teaching and Learning Statistics (An
electronic copy of these Proceedings is available at
http://www.stat.auckland.ac.nz/~iase/publications.php?show=8)
Prior to 1996 the
Round Table
Conferences were organized by the ISI Education Committee. They were:
1968--The Hague,
The Netherlands on The University Teaching of Statistics in Developing
Countries.
1970--Oisterwijk, The Netherlands on New Technologies in Teaching
Statistics
1973--Vienna, Austria on Statistics at the School Level
1975--Warsaw, Poland on The Teaching of Statistics in Schools
1977--Calcutta,
India on The Teaching of Statistics
1984--Canberra, Australia on Teaching of Statistics in the Computer Age
1988--Budapest, Hungary on Training Teachers to Teach Statistics
1992--Quebec, Canada on Who should Teach Data Analysis and How?

Meetings related to statistics education have been organized or
co-organized by IASE. Technically, the Proceedings to each Biennial
Session are called the Bulletin of the ISI. Details on the
Bulletin of the ISI can be found at

For the 1999, 2001, and
2003 almost all Invited and Contributed Papers in the area of statistics
education are available on the IASE website.
